At Gumpro Drilling Fluids, innovation is at the core of everything we do. Our team of researchers and engineers are constantly working to develop new and improved drilling fluid products through cutting-edge research and development. Our state-of-the-art research and development infrastructure includes a synthesis lab, which enables us to create novel chemistry, and a performance lab, where we can measure all API tests, H2 HP measurements, reservoir and formation damage, shell innovation, and laser particle analysis.
Not only do we make chemicals, but we also design and create manufacturing facilities. Our engineers and skilled teams create manufacturing infrastructure with complex chemical capabilities and minimal environmental footprints. Our commitment to innovation has led us to file patent applications globally for our new POLVO series, and our research and development centre has been sanctioned by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, for producing drilling fluid and new products. We are also in collaboration with several universities to further our research.
Throughout our journey, we have achieved significant milestones in the industry, including importing substitution from India’s natural oil company in 1984, becoming the first exporter of specialty drilling fluids from India in 1995, inventing flaked calcium carbonate (gel flake) that is 99% acid-soluble and well bore stem in 1997, and establishing a new R&D centre and receiving ISO accreditation in 2002. In 2008, we received Aramco qualification, and in 2020, we established a customer base in 40 countries. Our next milestone is establishing a presence in the USA in 2023.
